Abstract
Through global expert cooperation based on successful experiences, UNIDO jointly with INSHP decided to develop Small Hydropower Technical Guidelines (SHP/TGs) to meet the demand existing in Member States. The TGs address the current limitations of the regulations applied to the technical guidelines for small hydropower (SHP) plants drawing on the expertise and best practices from across the globe. The TGs can be taken as principle and basis for planning, designing, construction and management of SHP plants up to 30MW.
