ECA is a new features that allows our users to propose burning issues that needs to be featured on energypedia. Energypedia will then work with its community to collect information on these topics and then formulate articles on energypedia.

You have a specific question rather than a topic. Even better! Simply post your question on one of the energypedia groups and our community of experts will answer it.

Just post your topic or question here!

ECA is a commitment of energypedia to foster even more discussion and exchange of information on energypedia. All proposed questions and answers will be transparently documented on www.energypedia.info, thereby eliminating double or parallel work on the same topic; and also allowing others to access it via other search engines. Similarly, users can also learn from each other not only by discussing but also by documenting it in form of qualitative articles on energypedia. This way, relevant experience made in so many projects and countries will be public, transparent and available to the worldwide community of energy experts and interested stakeholders.

In case of any questions or query, simply send us an email at info@energypedia.info.

If you have any relevant publications and links for one of those questions posted, do not hesitate to write an article on your own; or send us the relevant info via email! The energypedia community will appreciate it.

Energypedia will then facilitate the answer (or possible several answers): asking the community will lead to more answers that are significant and – in case it is relevant enough – one of the community (or energypedia ) will insert the information into an existing article or creating a new article with the answers provided and additional information.

Examples of Requests

Requests are categorised into three categories regarding the amount of work and time that it will take to answer those questions. Find a few examples of requests, including the answers, in the table below.

Example of category 1

“How does a rocket stove work?" Short comprehension questions are quickly answered by energypedia, for example by linking to already existing articles. Find more information on the rocket stove principle.
Example of category 2 “We need examples of legal texts to lift import duties for solar products for our work with the Government of Liberia: What is the wording in other countries?”                              Energypedia researches on the topic, including asking experts and create an overview article: Examples of Legal Texts and Regulations to Lift Import Duties for PV Products
Example of category 3 "How do Governments decide what type of support mechanism works better: feed-in tariffs, or auctions, or both?" This kind of question requires one or more experts who have experience with this topic and can offer analytical and insightful answers. If several expert users have expressed their opinions and shared their knowledge within the discussion, energypedia can create a new article on the topic.
