Job description
Under the overall guidance of the Analyst, RE Technology, Standards and Markets, the Associate Programme Officer should fulfil the following duties and responsibilities:
- Perform research and analytical work on technology innovation, standards, test methods and certification schemes for different types of renewable energy technologies, to be used in institutional publications and in the interactive web platform www.irena.org/inspire;
- Support outreach activities for the work on innovation and standardisation, including organization of workshops and webinars;
- Support the elaboration of a number of reports on Innovation, Standards and Patents for renewable energy technologies;
- Represent the Agency in conferences and events in the field of quality control and patents in renewable energy;
- Coordinate work of consultants and external experts for the Agency’s activities in the field of quality control, standards and patents;
- Support outreach activities, including the organization of workshops and webinars, elaboration of news articles, and other dissemination strategies in coordination with the Agency’s Communications Team;
- Carry out administrative activities, including amongst others, publications, procurement and work programme and budget reporting processes;
- Perform other related duties as required.
