Context of the Results Offer
Energy Efficiency: Elevate energy efficiency in the development agenda by communicating a clear narrative, convening partners, advocating for commitments and strengthening energy efficiency initiatives; Support strengthening the enabling environment for energy efficiency with strategy and policy progress; Support energy efficiency knowledge creation and awareness through tracking evidence, analysis and reporting; Sectoral support for market transformation and energy efficiency investment progress in each energy using sector.
Purpose/Objective of the Role
The main objectives of the role include:
- Project coordination and relationship building with the government and stakeholders for energy efficiency progress in Ghana or Nigeria.
- Accelerate energy efficiency progress by elevating the collective effort of Three Percent Club partners with coordinated tools, approaches and actions in target countries and sectors.
- Support action in Three Percent Club member countries (such as Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Senegal, India, Argentina, Honduras and Colombia) and other priority countries.
- Duties and Tasks for the Role
The main duties of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Support countries and implementing agencies to develop and enhance policies and commitments that support energy efficiency progress and increased access to cooling, including national energy efficiency strategies, roadmaps, cooling plans, cold chain strategies and Nationally *Determined Contributions (NDCs).
- Liaise with country-based stakeholders and implementing agencies to raise awareness of the benefits of energy efficiency.
- Collaborate with partner countries, cities, companies, and organizations to prioritize action on policies, technology deployment and business models that will enable market transformation to sustainable energy development, energy efficiency improvement.
- Deliver high quality and impactful knowledge products, data, advice and support on energy efficiency.
- Support awareness raising for energy efficiency through the development of visual aids, graphics, and data stories and the implementation of communication campaigns, including #ThisIsCool and #MissionEfficiency.
- Support the development and improvement of SEforALL’s strategy and theory of change on energy efficiency, including by using results analysis to prioritize activities and collaboration partners.
- Manage the organization and delivery of SEforALL convened events on energy efficiency, including organization of agendas and drafting or preparatory materials.
- Work with other teams within SEforALL to support the development of knowledge and implementation work products that utilize the breadth of skills at SEforALL.
- Support monitoring, evaluation and learning for the Energy Efficiency projects and facilitate knowledge sharing across SEforALL teams, e.g., with Salesforce and SharePoint.
