Description
Join us for a live conversation spotlighting the LIFE-AR (Least Developed Countries Initiative for Effective Adaptation and Resilience) programme, an ambitious, country-led initiative supporting the world’s most climate-vulnerable nations to define and drive their own pathways to resilience.

Our speakers will share real-world insights on scaling climate adaptation, enabling whole-of-society engagement, and strengthening systems that work with local communities.

Speakers:

Tracy Kajumba, Director of the LIFE-AR Interim Secretariat at the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED), is a climate change adaptation and resilience expert. She provides strategic and technical support to the LDC Group and ten LIFE-AR countries. Her work spans decolonial and intersectional approaches, equitable partnerships, gender, and social justice.

Modou Cham, UNFCCC National Focal Point and Climate Change Specialist at the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Natural Resources of The Gambia, is a leading voice in national climate policy and adaptation planning. He spearheads the LIFE-AR initiative in The Gambia and supports national legislative efforts, including the development of the Climate Change Bill and Carbon Market Bill.

Together, they’ll explore what climate leadership looks like in practice, and how LDCs are shaping their own resilient futures.
