Description
Mozambique Carbon Initiatives Lda (MozCarbon) is a company that operates in the area of climate change mitigation, using different initiatives that include the dissemination of improved cookstoves and forestry projects. MozCarbon is currently developing a Program of Activities (PoA) for Efficient and Clean Cooking for Mozambican Low-Income Households to disseminate improved cookstoves through the Gold Standard for Global Goals scheme to reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions and contribute to reducing deforestation and forest degradation, as well as creating environmental and socio-economic benefits for communities.

MozCarbon intends to implement a specific project GS5562 VPA 4: Efficient And Clean Cooking For Mozambican Low-Income Households in districts of the Province and City of Maputo, to disseminate improved Mbaula Poupa+ charcoal stoves and other charcoal stove models that may be available in the market. Therefore, you are kindly invited to a public Local Stakeholders Consultation meeting to discuss and share comments/ideas regarding the project, regarding its environmental, economic, and social impacts, in such a way that the results of the discussion and recommendations can be incorporated into the final design and implementation of the project.
