Description
Minimum energy performance standards (MEPS) for appliances and equipment play a critical role in meeting ambitious international climate goals. Aligning MEPS for key energy-using appliances with international targets and best practices can deliver further energy and cost savings to consumers and take action to curb the worst impacts of climate change.

Join CLASP for an overview of the latest tool “World’s Best MEPS”, which assesses the stringency of standards across ten economies. Afterward, a panel of experts in policy and appliances will share their insights on the process of implementing MEPS in their regional contexts, including challenges and lessons learned. Participants will have the chance to ask questions in the concluding Q&A session.

Panelists: Matt Malinowski, CLASP Shirin Mavandad, CLASP Clara Camarasa, IEA Theo Covary, Unlimited Energy Resources Rob Singlehurst, Natural Resources Canada
