Hosted annually in Southern, Eastern and Central, West and North Africa- the Annual Africa ESG, Impact Investing, and Sustainable Finance Forum series is the go-to event for key stakeholders across the continent focusing on the acceleration of the achievement of UN’s Sustainable Development Goals as well the mobilization of public, private, philanthropic and development capital toward critical impact sectors-and the promotion of climate resilience practices, climate mitigation, and adaptation policies and strategies.
This, therefore, is an official invitation to explore potential synergies and participation opportunities for you and your team at this year’s summit to be hosted on the 25-26 May 2023, in Cape Town, South Africa.
The 2023 summits will be held in Kenya (Hosted in February 2023), South Africa -in May 2023, and Nigeria in October /November 2023.
We are the hosts of the Annual Africa ESG /Impact Investing & Sustainable Finance Summits over the last ten years and we would like to discuss with you and your colleagues the potential participation at the 4th Annual Africa ESG /Impact Investing & Sustainable Finance Summit to be hosted on the 25-26th May 2023, Cape Town, South Africa. The summit comprises 3 regional forums in Southern Africa, East and Central Africa and West /North Africa hosted annually in Africa’s economic hubs of Johannesburg / Cape Town, Nairobi, and Lagos Nigeria. These summits offer opportunities to attend, speak, partner, or sponsor. The continental summit is in its 4th year and the 2022 Southern Africa edition was successfully hosted at the Mdluli Safari Lodge, Kruger National Park, South Africa bringing together over 40 continental and global speakers, over 150 physical and over 100 virtual delegates in addition to participants from more than 20 countries comprising of industry stakeholders, asset managers, institutional investors, governments, NGO/NPO’s, development partners, ESG consultants, academics and researchers, industry associations, regulators and policymakers, Development Finance Institutions, impact investors, regulators, and various financial services providers.
The summit which is part of our Africa series brings together key stakeholders in the ESG / Impact investing & Sustainable Finance space with a key focus on Impact Investing, Sustainability, Green Finance, and Climate change. Coming in the backdrop of COP27, the summit will address critical and necessary interventions that investors, asset owners, managers, regulators, and policymakers will need to deploy towards achieving the UN sustainable development goals as well as to mitigate climate-related risks.
The 3-day event will also explore the role of Institutional Investors, Financial services providers, Foundations, and charities plus NPOs, regulators, asset owners, and managers in impact investing across the African continent and will examine critical approaches and strategies towards climate action and social impact. The 20223 regional forums will be hosted in South Africa in May 2023, in Nairobi on November 23, and in Nigeria Dec 23.
