The „Autoridade Nacional do Petróleo“ (ANP, National Petroleum Authority, http://www.anp-tl.org/) supervises all upstream and downstream activities in the fuel sector. While their website offers lots of information for the upstream part, there is no information regarding fuel prices, fuel price composition or price statistics. In Particular, it is unclear, whether fuel pump prices are regulated are set liberally by oil companies (Hints welcome!).
Timor Leste imports most of its fuels from Indonesia. When Indonesia reduced fuel subsidies, prices went considerably upwards also in Timor Leste. Since then, fuel subsidies are discussed; however, it is unclear if there are any fuel subsidies or taxes as of May 2011. From the surveyed price levels in Nov2010 (see 1), it can be assumed that there is a considerable difference on subsidies and/or taxes between gasoline and diesel (Diesel is only 67% of the gasoline price).
