The project implements a strategy to guide and streamline on-grid and off-grid national electrification initiatives and promote fiscal efficiency, strengthening at the same time the capacity of States and Municipalities to plan, program and provide integrated energy services to rural communities living in remote isolated regions. The document includes an example of economic analysis, focusing on the costs and benefits of providing electricity to households using photovoltaic (PV) systems, which is the main focus of the project.
