In the buildings and construction sector, all trends are pointing upwards with dramatic consequences for the climate. The Partnership for Energy Efficiency in Buildings (PEEB, www.peeb.build) aims to accelerate the transition to a zero-emission and resilient built environment. PEEB provides financing solutions for construction and renovation projects with a high climate impact potential, and targeted policy advice and capacity-building to improve the framework conditions for such projects. In its four programmes – PEEB Cool, PEEB Climate Finance Incubator (CFI), PEEB Med, and PEEB ASEAN – the Partnership works closely with governments in 21 partner countries, as well as financial institutions and the private sector. The intern will work for PEEB Cool and PEEB CFI. PEEB Cool is implemented by the French development bank Agence Française de Développement (AFD) and GIZ. The PEEB Secretariat at the AFD headquarters in Paris and GIZ in Bonn coordinates its activities. Country activities are implemented via the offices of GIZ and AFD in the partner countries.
