GIZ ‘Sustainable Energy for Food – Powering Agriculture’
Project description
GIZ promoted an inclusive-ecosystem based approach in India to improve economic viability of SPIS. This included the promotion of modified pumps to utilize otherwise unused electricity. This benefitted more than 50 people in a village, which utilized the surplus energy to purify water, which was in turn sold for a profit.
