Building Climate-Smart Post-Harvest Systems: Strengthening Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary Technologies for Small Farmers and Micro Enterprises
Every year, India loses 30–40% of its fruits, vegetables, cereals, and pulses due to weak post-harvest systems. These losses don’t just affect small farmers—they also mean wasted land, water, energy, and increased greenhouse gas emissions. With climate change intensifying vulnerabilities, strengthening climate-smart post-harvest systems has become urgent.
SELCO Foundation is launching Building Climate-Smart Post-Harvest Systems—an initiative designed to support innovators and enterprises reimagining how India stores, processes, and preserves food.
