Knowledge fuels change - Support energypedia!
For over 10 years, energypedia has been connecting energy experts around the world — helping them share knowledge, learn from each other, and accelerate the global energy transition.
Today, we ask for your support to keep this platform free and accessible to all. Even a small contribution makes a big difference! If just 10–20% of our 60,000+ monthly visitors donated the equivalent of a cup of coffee — €5 — Energypedia would be fully funded for a whole year.
Is the knowledge you’ve gained through Energypedia this year worth €5 or more?
Your donation keeps the platform running, helps us create new knowledge products, and contributes directly to achieving SDG 7.

Eligibility/Description
We are pleased to share that the Impulsouth Initiative, led by Fundación Avina and the United Nations University (UNU-VIE), with support from IDRC, has launched a new open call for research proposals: Case studies of innovation for scaling renewable energy in Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean.

The call seeks to generate evidence and insights that enrich strategies to scale renewable energy technologies (RETs) with vulnerable groups in the Global South. The initiative will fund six to eight research products. Each funded case study must examine a real intervention (or set of interventions) designed to expand the adoption of RETs among vulnerable populations. These interventions may be led by a private business, enterprise support organization, NGO, sectoral association, or government agency, and must be either on-going (but mature enough for observable changes) or recently completed. The research should analyze both successes and failures and identify the critical factors that enabled (or hindered) the expansion of RETs.

Proposals must be submitted by universities or research centers with demonstrated experience in applied research on energy transitions. To be eligible, proposals must be developed in partnership with the organization implementing the intervention, such as a business, NGO, sectoral association, enterprise support organization, or government agency.
