Eligibility/Description
This e-learning platform is a component of the Energy Enterprise Coach (EEC) initiative. It provides bespoke and practical e-learning content specifically designed to support renewable energy SMEs across Africa and Asia. It has 10 self-paced e-learning courses. Each course on the platform is developed specifically considering the needs of renewable energy SMEs in Africa and Asia and includes sector-specific examples, case studies, tools and assignments. It has 10 courses covering topics such as business foundation, financial accounting, sales and marketing, among others. The platform also provides learners with access to e-mentorship support. The learners will receive a certificate for the successful completion of the course and related assessments.

The Energy Enterprise Coach is a flagship initiative that offers the best skills, services and expertise in Business Development Services (BDS) to support professionalisation of SMEs working in the clean energy sector in Africa and Asia (See target EEC countries here), to foster their growth and development. Conceptualised and funded by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) and the Energising Development (EnDev) partnership, EEC’s core aim is to provide an inclusive, solution- oriented approach to support renewable energy enterprises (encompassing at least 25% women-owned) in order to accelerate their growth trajectory towards investment readiness.
