Knowledge fuels change - Support energypedia!
For over 10 years, energypedia has been connecting energy experts around the world — helping them share knowledge, learn from each other, and accelerate the global energy transition.
Today, we ask for your support to keep this platform free and accessible to all. Even a small contribution makes a big difference! If just 10–20% of our 60,000+ monthly visitors donated the equivalent of a cup of coffee — €5 — Energypedia would be fully funded for a whole year.
Is the knowledge you’ve gained through Energypedia this year worth €5 or more?
Your donation keeps the platform running, helps us create new knowledge products, and contributes directly to achieving SDG 7.

Eligibility/Description
To implement the Paris Agreement and Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), all of society needs to participate in climate and biodiversity action. Financing and financial resources are required. Through its IKI Small Grants Programme, the IKI specifically targets local actors, such as non-governmental organisations, and enables them to implement climate and biodiversity action. These actors are essential as agents of change. They are at the frontline where climate change and biodiversity loss show the greatest impact, and they are close to the people affected most. Since 2019, the programme has been supporting small projects by local organisations and funding institutions in ODA-eligible countries in achieving tangible results and making an impact.

IKI Small Grants is implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and provides funding in two lines: International Calls and Funding Institutions. Both fund non-profit projects and initiatives that address the four IKI support areas: mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions, adaptation to the impacts of climate change, conservation of natural carbon sinks/REDD+, and conservation of biodiversity.
