Description
This study presents a compilation of specific approaches, tools and lessons on productivity end-use of MHP systems in the Philippines. This fulfils the Philippine component of the research project entitled “Knowledge Sharing and Advocacy on Ensuring Sustainability of Micro-Hydro Plants through Energizing Rural Livelihood”, involving South and Southeast Asian member countries of Hydropower Network, namely Nepal, Indonesia, India, Myanmar, Malaysia and Philippines. The project aims to contribute to the sustainability of MHPs in S/SE Asia, by increasing awareness and commitments to improve MHP projects plant capacity factors (often referred as plant load factor) through utilization of best- practices for productive end use (PEU).1
