Hanoi’s fight against air pollution

Current air quality levels in Hanoi leave citizens breathless. However, change is in sight: The city of Hanoi has proclaimed to tackle the problem of air pollution, also with the help of the GIZ. The improvement of Hanoi’s air quality - and simultaneously the reduction of local greenhouse gas emissions – will be achieved through better monitoring, awareness raising and immediate action. The respective GIZ-project supports Hanoi in this endeavour; it is funded through the “Internationale Klimaschutz-Initiative” IKI of the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU). The German TV channel “Deutsche Welle” has accompanied the project team in Hanoi and has portrayed their work on the ground. [1]

Hanois Kampf gegen dicke Luft
