STUDENT ENERGY &  ENERGYPEDIA ESSAY CONTEST

“ENERGY AND ENVIRONMENT FAIR 2018”
Organized by Student Energy UDG Chapter and Energypedia
Support by the University of Guadalajara and the Municipal Government of Tonalá, Jalisco
Tonalá University Center, CuTonalá.

This annual contest is organized in an effort to capture the imagination and initiative of the university youth to build a culture of energy consciousness and sustainable development. It also aims to inspire the whole society to learn from young minds and to think about how each one of us can make a difference in our environment.

Essay contest with the THEME: "ENERGY AND MULTIDISCIPLINE"

In what way could you unify the theme of energy in the discipline that you develop or the subjects in which you study or work? What benefits do you think can be achieved? Please share concrete ideas.

Guidelines

  1. The participants must be between 17 and 35 years old. The contest is divided into 2 categories: Category A: from 17 years to 19 years and Category B: from 20 to 35 years.
  2. The essays must not exceed 700 words, typed or printed, in English or Spanish, without counting the title of the essay and the presentation and may include pictures and graphs. The essays should be sent to the following email: axell@studentenergy.org

  4. The essays must include a contribution with a format of choice, indicating the following:
    (1) The category in which you participate (A or B) (2) The title of the essay (3) The name of the author (4) Career you study and semester (4) Phone number (5) Email address ( 6) Age of the contestant (7) Name of the school if applicable (8) Sex(9) total number of words.* The essays that have any of the previous points missing will not be taken into account *
  5. The essays must be original and have not been previously published. The plagiarized trials will be rejected.
  6. They can be written by only one person or in collaboration with other authors.
  7. All participants agree with the terms of energypedia’s license: (CC BY-NC-SA 3.0)

Deadline: Essays must be sent before October 5, 2018

Prizes

The following prizes will be awarded in the categories

  • 1st and 2nd Prize: To be published internationally on theenergypedia platform with a range of thousands of daily views and promoted via the energypedia channels. + a surprise gift and recognition of participation.
  • 3rd Prize: Certificate and gift
  • Honorable mention: Certificate
