Context
The conference, held in Tunis from 2nd until 4th December, was organized by Desertec University Network (DUN) e.V. in order to explore and foster the use of RE in the agriculture sector.
On the second day of the conference, three GIZ projects organized a workshop on the use of renewable energy in agriculture and food processing. The presentations can be downloaded directly below.
Workshop: Sustainable Energy Use in the Agriculture and Food Industry
The workshop was organized by three projects of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH:
- 1. DMS: The project “Developing the solar energy market”, who coordinated the workshop, outlined the business potentials in the developing solar energy market in Tunisia.
- 2. HERA: The programme"Poverty-oriented Basic Energy Services" presented worldwide potentials and challenges of smallholder agriculture.
- 3.
